THIS WEEKEND/THIS WEEK

This Sunday at a special 7PM Mass, we will celebrate Candlemas. In his bulletin letter this week, Fr. Walter explores this Dominican tradition.

Mass Schedule: This Sunday, our Mass schedule will be: 4:30PM (Vigil), 7:30AM, 9AM, 11:30AM, 5:15PM (simple), & 7PM Mass & Solemn Offertory, followed by a reception. There will be no Coffee & Muffins in the morning and there will be no 8PM Confessions or 9PM Mass.
Feast of St. Blaise: Monday, February 3rd, the Feast of St. Blaise, we will have the blessing of throats at our 8AM, 12:25PM (UVA Chapel), and 5:15PM Masses.
Public Lecture: Saturday, February 1st, at 1PM, Prof. Kevin Hart, of the Duke Divinity School, will deliver a lecture on "Contemplation: The Movements of the Soul", followed by a 2:30PM Panel Discussion. The talk will take place in the UVA Rotunda Multipurpose Room, and is co-sponsored by the St. Anselm Institute for Catholic Thought and the Thomistic Institute@UVA Student Chapter. All are invited.

St. Anselm Institute: A new lunch study group on "The Biblical Mary" will begin on February 7th. Seating is free but limited. See the bulletin for registration details.
Visiting Lecture: Wednesday, February 12th, at 6:30PM, Fr. Dominic Legge, OP, of the Thomistic Institute, will deliver a lecture on "Faith and Science: The Illusion of Conflict" at the Blue Ridge Center at UVA. See the bulletin for further details.
