Dear Parishioners and Students,
As per our email yesterday, we have shut down the church, cleaned and sanitized the facilities appropriately, and will reopen with the 5:15pm Mass today. Thank you for your prayers and patience as we work to ensure a safe place for our parishioners, students, staff, and guests.
We have received many questions regarding the exposure to a COVID-19+ case and would like to provide a few points of further clarification.
The individual attended the 5:15pm Mass on Sunday, July 19th. The individual observed all established protocols, including masks and hand sanitizing, was socially distanced from other households, and only entered the main church. The spaces have been cleaned and sanitized daily since that time and as a further precaution were cleaned/sanitized again this afternoon. We apologize for any confusion or anxiety that was caused by this lack of clarity.
We continue to be vigilant during this unique time so that we can continue to serve you and provide a safe environment to encounter the Lord Jesus in His sacramental presence. Your prayers, support, and patient understanding are greatly appreciated during this time. As the mystical body of Christ, each of us has been entrusted with different roles and responsibilities (1 Cor 12:12). This unity in the midst of diversity is founded in the Holy Spirit and we rejoice at its presence in our parish in such trying times.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
God bless.
Fr. Joseph Barranger, O.P.
